The deputies of the RA NA Civil Contract Faction Babken Tunyan and Lilit Kirakosyan had a number of meetings during their visit to Germany, discussed issues regarding the economic sphere and reached concrete agreements.

The Armenian parliamentarians met with the Head of the Analytical Centre German Economic Team (GET) Ricardo Giucci and the Project-Manager Dmitry Chervyakov. An agreement was reached that the GET, that now cooperates with the Government, will also make researches for the National Assembly. It is designed that the representatives of the GET will visit Armenia in September.

Babken Tunyan and Lilit Kirakosyan also met with the Director of the Eastern Business Association Stefan Kaegebein. It was noted that the Association will organize a visit for the German businessmen to Armenia in October. The guests will also meetings in the National Assembly and will discuss with the parliamentarians the opportunities of making investments in Armenia.

The NA deputies were hosted by the Chairwoman of the Committee on Tourism of the Bundestag Jana Schimke, talked about the possibilities of the recovery and development of tourism during the post-Covid period. Mrs Schimke accepted the Armenian parliamentarians’ invitation to visit Armenia.

During the meeting with the deputy of the Free Democrats Faction of the Bundestag, the spokesperson on Economic Policy Reinhard Houben the current economic situation, the opportunities and risks of the two countries and the deepening of the Armenian-German economic ties were touched upon.
